  1. Hello Skip, I tend to agree with asavage. If it were my rig, I wouldn't do either. I'd be more inclined to yank the condenser, thus improving air flow to the radiator, if you don't want a/c anymore, that is.. The condenser is specifically designed to optimize heat transfer in order to condense freon gas to freon liquid, isn't it? If you feel the need to provide more oil cooling, I'd go with Rallywagon's suggestion, as oil coolers, again, are specifically designed for optimal heat transfer from an oil circuit to a water circuit. (Some VW engines, notably the Cabriolet, have oil coolers that interface with the coolant system and are thermostatically controlled. IMHO, though, it's just one more system to fail...) That's just my 2 cents worth. What a laboratory you have there! 8-) Rick
