Sorry for the necro of an old thread! i came across this while doing an image search of RX’s and recognized my car! I purchased the car car from Washington almost a year ago now and had it shipped over. Ever since then it’s been my daily. The white door happened in the first week as it and the hood were vandalized overnight. I can see the car has seen much better days.i have since put wagon struts on it, tinted the glass and kept it running strong. The engine is still stock with 229k on the clock. Anyway I thought it would be cool to update this with the cars current whereabouts.

after a pretty involved process I managed to get my hands on rare 88 Subaru rx! about 6 months ago I purchased a second brat as salvage to use as parts. I couldn't bring myself to part it out so I ended up trading it for a mazda rx7 with a title. which I believe to be the best trade I ever made because exactly 1 week later I flipped that same rx7 with a bit of cash on top to get this beautiful rx. now with my 87 brat and my 2006 STi I own all of my dream subarus. now just to finish the builds on them.

er yeah I meant ea81 ha. but yeah. Idk I overlooked that aspect. I think I will take this transmission in that case. That is if I can figure out why its so hard to get into the gears.

I'm not sure what the old owner did exactly. But it does have accelerate faster than my stock brat on the same ea82. There might be other changes in not seeing to achieve that though. I do plan on doing a 2.2 swap when I can afford it. My question really was should I wait for the transmission that goes with that car or is this one better since ita already set up to roll in a brat.

I recently purchased a title-less brat for parts. The owner of this brat had swapped out the transmission for one from an 88rx turbo. Full time awd dual range locking center diff. On paper it sounds great. In application it's a little iffy finding the gears. My question is this a normal swap? I'm debating on moving it to my good brat but idk if there's known problems or a better route. Aside from the shifting it gives the brat a lot of extra oomph with the stock engine. Thoughts?

i bought a parts brat not too long ago with a crl window. tried taking it out and broke it. called the guy and thats what he told me. theres no way to be 100% since theres no markings on the glass or frame but it was in there.

here's an interesting fact some of you may liek to know. the CR laurence TSW1200S glass for an 90's ford ranger fits perfectly into a second gen brat. i called that junkyard they may be shipping it out to me, otherwise I'll be buying one of these if I cant find anything.

Yeah an 85 will fit. Do you have a number for them i can call?

unfortunately the passenger side glass on my 87 brat got shattered the other day and I really need to find a replacement. all the glass shops around Denver say it's going to be impossible. my parts brat had a window from CR laurence but their website doesn't seem to list brat windows or any way to sell them to individuals. and sadly that window too got shattered. any and all help is appreciated.
