I had an 88 Hatch..needed to be retired because of holes inthe floor..I made sure I beat the hell out of it in the woods on quad trails before it was retired though.

Imprezas have their place in the lineup for sure and you grow to not miss some of those options you listed. Heck, drive an old hatchback (80-89) for a while and then get back in your legacy.
I can vouch for that statement. Everytime I drive my wagon or hatch and then get back into the legacy, its like a brand new car

hmm I wonder if anyone can get into the attic to visit
-
Yoy may want to look under parts for an impreza 2.5 RS and some of them may fit.
-
Optima Yellow Top...great battery..running one in my 82 wagon now.
-
Hmmm youre not the only person with this odd carb problem. I am experiencing the exact same thing.

Good Lookin wagon!! Good luck

Yeah im defintely going to add the stabilizer when I fill the tank....Im giving some serious thought to the 2.2 swap during the winter so maybe the motor will be pulled while being stored heheh
-
Awesome...I will probably start it once a week as to keep the battery in check and keep the car in check as well

Any tips on storing for a car for the winter months..never did it before

Thanks guys, yeah it is a shame that she has to be put away, but id rather preserve it than have it ruined by salt, it does give me something to look forward to in the spring.

Cleaned the garage up a bit and got it ready to put the wagon in to preserve the body from the salt and the PA winter...

In my '85, the front diff was leaking gear oil where the driveshaft goes into the case. There are two seals (inside and outside) on each side that may need to be replaced.
I will have to check that out, was it a hard job to complete?

anything?

Well, looks like my 82 4WD wagon has a gear oil leak somewhere in the manual transmission, I got under, looked, and cant seem to see where the leak is coming from. I placed some cardboard underneath and it looks like its coming right from the center of the transmsmisson. I checked the plug and it was tight and could not see any leaks around it.. Im stumped because everytime I go to drive the car, the fluid is on empty on the dipstick...any suggestions?? You guys ever had this happen?

Congrats on the 2.5, youre going to enjoy it

I was wondering if you can still get the older paint colors for older Subies through the dealer or anywhere for that matter
-
Very Nice OB!! Congrats and good luck on the purchase...any plans as far as mods?
-

Hey thanks for the advice guys....ill call him tomorrow and see if he had any luck finding it, then ill make some phone calls. I want my wagon back!! haha
-
They don't use salt in PA, so your '91 should look good.
PA still uses salt on their roads.. a combination of salt, anti skid material, or a combination of the two.
-
Ah...yeah I wouldnt think SOA wuld have discounted them...its just taking the mechanic a long time to find one...anybody have one?? haha
-
Took my 82 wagon for an inspection and it needed a new pass side ball joint and a new tie rod. The mechanic has had it for a week because the subaru dealer keeps on sending him the wrong tie rod end. Is this part so hard to find?
-
Man..you are a lucky guy tio get that beauty for free and with only 101k on it..wow..why cant i have luck like that??
