  1. I don't remember what it looked like and I don't know the mileage the previous owner had lied a lot about the car to me. I have put new plugs and wires on it in the last 1000 miles and still get the code I can't remember if there was any oil on the old plug wires. I don't think there was but I'm not even sure if the last owner put on a new coil pack either to be honest
  2. Looking for some info on how to do this and what is the preferred gasket set to use and like the older engines do I need gasket sealer and any recommendations on the proper tool for scraping the old gasket away

  7. Question guys. I was doin a spark plug wire change on my Forrester and my wire boots would not go into the plug heads . So I inspected the old wires I pulled off and discovered that the metal connector inside the boot that slips onto the plug has stuck to the head of the plug. It pulled the sleeve right off the connector piece itself. Any suggestions on what works to remove that inside metal conducter that connects to the plug? Any advice is helpfull never ran into this problem before.

  11. No I got it from a private party trade. The one code I remember was the p0301 for each cylinder which is a misfire and it said cylinder 1 and it had a misfire code for each cylinder which I would assume is bad wires and then I remember a reason showing up for a small evaporated leak which I was told could be the gas cap. And then there was something about bank 1 and it running to rich just don't remember the exact codes. I should wrote them down
  12. 1 lucky Texan it was filled before I got the car and then ran about half a tank out of it and it was doin it when I got the car I drove it 20 miles home and it did it all the way home I stopped and filled it on my way and it still did it

  15. Hi everyone I'm new here just picked up a 2002 subaru forester in trade. Now I test drove the car a week ago and no issues. Today when I pick it up and bring it home. It runs like crap. It hesitates bad in 1st gear seems like it has not enough fuel. Then it picks up and I shift into 2nd and it bucks and surges. It does this in every gear. When your on the highway it surges and you can see the rpms go up and down as its running. Cel is on I checked it today as I brought it home had code 0301 for every cylinder 1 2 3 4 had a code for bank 1 sensor and also showed a code for a small evaporated leak. Any ideas on what maybe causing this? Please any help and ideas where to start or possibly what is causing this and how to fix it it greatly aappreciate this is now my only transportation and I have a young child and I don't feel it's safe to drive him in this car. Can anyone give me some advice and or help please. Thank you very much!!!
