  1. Someone with very similar problem took the injector out and blew it out and blam
  2. Awsome i will probly need that trick soon
  3. Sorry for the amount of posts. It sounds like the tps randomly stopped working. Maybe the screws came loose. You should be able to turn it slightly either way with the screws loose. I ended up buying a throttle body gasket when i adjusted mine. There is coolant running through it.
  4. When you let off the gas does the ecs light come on?
  5. Hope you can read this. I have the whole component check for spfi. I think i will post it. Says if u hear the injector clicking, its working. Pull breather of throttle body and verify fuel spray. Not while smoking. Fuel pressure regulator maybe causing your prob. Need to t into fuel line to check fuel pressure. Idle air control should drop rpm when unplugged while running.
  6. The idle switch code is caused by the tps bein out of wak also
  7. Mine is doing same thing exept wen it starts it runs fine. Throwing neutral safety code. Have you tried adjusting tps. Mine ran like crap till i turned tps into the correct spot. I cant remember exactly how but if you need i will read and post. I dont think thats why it died. Mine never died and the way the tps was i was choking the car to death wen i let off the gas.
  8. Thank you this explains why my fuse keeps blowing. Not too much current, ive got bad connections causing too many amps. Perfect explanation
  9. If the voltage drops from bad electronics it requires more amps. You dont purposely drop voltage. If u did thats different
  10. Ive got an 86 spfi at. It keeps dying while driving. Just tuned it about 3k ago. Replaced all consumables n such(t belts also). Drives like a beast. First sudden death i thought it was low oil sensor. Put a quart in and it started. Ran for a while and died again relized wasnt oil sensor as oil wasnt low at all. Tightened rotor screw( should say put it back in) on my own hunch. Started. Ran beautifully for a day and died again. Not the screw this time. Doesnt sound like sparking at all. Codes 11 16 46. Wheres neutral switch. Doubt its timing belt because it runs perfect when it does. Btw 170k only. only
