  1. Ok but here is the idea. Someone needs to pull off as much weight as possible and report the impovement. How much weight was removed and what the gain was.
  2. OK I have a challange for you. In light of our recent prices of gas, what is the best mileage we can get from an 80's Roo? I have had a 2x 5-speed get 32 consistantly. I am working on my second tank in my 92 Loyale auto and I am hoping for 28. I had an idea. How much weight could we strip from one of these cars to increase the mileage? Carpet, trim, seats...Who is up for the test?
  3. Wow, I cannot imagine this is a real issue. A short would blow the circuit fuse first I would think. Or the fuseable link. Here is a thought, if you have the fuse out of the car you could plug it in while the car is not running. Roll down the windows and pull the fuse and then start the car. You could do the same idea by disconnecting the alternator if you really wanted to be safe. Generally a short is a short is a short. They can be indentified by the circuit. Did you have problems with the windows before? Slow opperation? Most of the time this is dirty contacts in the switch.
  4. I would love to have a copy of that letter. What years does it cover? Is it only for original owners? schreckman@comcast.net
  5. My understanding is there are several seals between the tranny and the diff and through to the tourque converter. I have parked une until after elk season when I will have more time. I am thinking I will just rebuild the whole thing while I have it out.
  6. I can ship a new pump to your door with gaskets for 85 bucks. I have one pump now, I can get more next month.
  7. Hondasucks you hit it right on the money. I was driving back and forth to work and washing it off each time. I used my vacuum pump to extract the fluid down to the exact level. Everything was fine but then my auto tranny was low. So I filled that and then my diff was too full. Any Idea if I can pull the auto trans portion off of the diff and change the seal without removing the diff and axles? I have pulled several of the manual trans from these cars but no auto 4x4.
  8. Well I found the problem. There is a computer that controls the seat belt motors. On the sedan it is located in the trunk below the speaker panel, right in the center. For some odd reason this one was unplugged. So I plugged it in and they work great.
  9. Yes, I just changed it because it did have ATF in it and that is why I thought it was comig out of the tube. I have it to the correct level with 90 weight. I think I will wash it off again and try to see how it starts.
  10. In theory this should not happen. I got this 92 Loyale Auto 4x4 and has a leaking front diff. It looks as if the fluid comes out of the dipstick hole after it is driven. I am thinking a side axle seal would make more sence. Anybody had a situation that has caused fluid come out of the dipstick hole?
  11. Yes, all fuses are in good shape. I do not have a wire diagram for the car yet. My door sensers ( the ones that turn on the dome lamps) are in good shape as well.
  12. Yes, I am quite sure. It is a 93 Loyale. I saw the allen head bolt. If I move it to the correct possition will it re-activate?
  13. Anybody have a quick fix for the motorized seat belts on the Loyale? They dont move. One is stuck in the forward position and one near the back. Am I looking for a relay? A sensor?
