  1. OK I have a challange for you. In light of our recent prices of gas, what is the best mileage we can get from an 80's Roo?

I have had a 2x 5-speed get 32 consistantly. I am working on my second tank in my 92 Loyale auto and I am hoping for 28.

I had an idea. How much weight could we strip from one of these cars to increase the mileage? Carpet, trim, seats...Who is up for the test?

  2. Wow, I cannot imagine this is a real issue. A short would blow the circuit fuse first I would think. Or the fuseable link. Here is a thought, if you have the fuse out of the car you could plug it in while the car is not running. Roll down the windows and pull the fuse and then start the car. You could do the same idea by disconnecting the alternator if you really wanted to be safe. Generally a short is a short is a short. They can be indentified by the circuit.

Did you have problems with the windows before? Slow opperation? Most of the time this is dirty contacts in the switch.

  3. Hondasucks you hit it right on the money. I was driving back and forth to work and washing it off each time. I used my vacuum pump to extract the fluid down to the exact level. Everything was fine but then my auto tranny was low. So I filled that and then my diff was too full. :banghead:

Any Idea if I can pull the auto trans portion off of the diff and change the seal without removing the diff and axles? I have pulled several of the manual trans from these cars but no auto 4x4.
