How do you know if the belt is slipping? I replaced the tensioner and idler pulley with aftermarket parts and don't know if that has anything to do with the noise but the slipping belt did cross my mind I just don't know how to determine if that's the issue. Thank you.

Hello, I have yet another question. This issue stared today and don't know how to tackle it. I have a 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5l Premium that I purchased used. Every time I move the steering wheel either left or right it make a horrible noise and I'm afraid it may be something serious. I replaced the fluid and bled the system turning the steering wheel end-to-end and also used a vacuum pump to remove any remaining air but that did not help. Any advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Please watch the video to have a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Hello, Would you happen to know where I can find the right crush washer for the CVT drain and filer plugs? I recently replaced the CVT fluid on my 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5i and was forced to use the same washer because I wasn't able to find it, even the Subaru dealer was unable to help me since they claim that fluid is not supposed to be changed. I'm trying to find out what is causing my tires and steering wheel to vibrate every time I turn the steering wheel. I replaced the power steering pump and the racking and pinion look fine (no leaks or other visible issues). I also replaced the fluid and bled the system but that did not help. When I removed the belt the driver's side cam gear jumped out of alignment, can I turn it clockwise to put it back in alignment?

I have a quick question. I will be replacing the timing belt on my 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5 SOHC, when I go to line everything up, should I use the little timing notches on the crank and cam sprockets instead of the arrows? What if I don't have those timing notches?

This is what I see under my seat. Do any of those look like the pretensioner?

Hello, I need your assistance identifying the seat belt pretensioner on my 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5 Premium. The airbag light is on and the error code is "62 - Belt Pretensioner LH Failure" I was told the pretensioner is on the side of the seat and it is where the buckle connects to but I don't have anything like that, do you think it is under the seat? People keep telling me that it is a long cylindrical tube but I just cannot find it. Could one of you point me in the right direction please? Thank you so much.
