  1. 1995 leagacy l aws 2.2l 5-speed if major tuning is required for me to at least get to 14's on a 1/4 mile theres a guy i know from school could easily get me a 99 legacy front end and could prbably find me a 2.5 turbo engine
  2. are there many cams or headers out for subaru's? or is turbo the only way to go? (im not a fan of forced induction)
  3. im new to the subaru game... im a muscle head..what i know about modding is taking a camaro, adding some headers, cam, exhaust, intake, air lid and exhaust besides foced induction is there anything major you can do to make a lecagy faster... i know im not gonna try take a v8, but are there things i can get for pretty cheap that'll bring me up to maybe 225+ hp?
  4. i got rid of the air resonator im gonna pick up either an AFE, K&N or Ractive flat filter im also thinkin about gettin a cherry bomb turbo.. i want something that sounds more of nice then loud, but louder then your average car the turbo says quality in sound, not decibals so im thinking it'll be an ok combo im not getting a cherry bomb, those big loud gross sounding red fart cannons that cops pull you over for having, the cherry bomb turbo is just like a regular muffler
  5. air filters got me excited when the guys with a dodge sx 2.0 came to school with a Ractive filter, his car sounded like it had a v8 in it, you could even hear the engine rumble at idle he had a k&n before that and it barely amde a difference in sound so he brought it back
  6. camaros took 5 years off the GTO is here, and the camaro comes back in 07 with the 400hp LS2 engine, and about 500lbs lighter the cars supposed to be around 3200lbs and who knows, they might do a special camaro with vette engines like they did in the 60's cause in 07 the corvette c6-z (z-06 replacement) is gonna have a 427 engine with over 600bhp and over 550 rwhp... the corvette c6 already destroyed the porsche 9-11 on the track and strip for 30% cheaper...i'd hate to see what this c6z is gonna do
  7. if you change all regular things that go every so often right away, and do regular maintenance you should expect 400 000+ miles no problem
  8. ive never in my life changed plug wires before how much would a set of 4 cost, and how hard are they to change, is there anything very strange about them compared to changing plugs can you do it all at once or does it double the time
  9. fords are a joke. they have made terrible cars/trucks since the early 70's ford mustangs and camaros have been rivals since 67 since the all through the 90's camaros have been faster at everything and better handling. the 03 cobra was the first ford to take a camaro on the 1/4 mile in like 20+ years, and its supercharged, and is still slower then a camaro SS and i know this, my dads 95 camaro can take turns as fast as my legacy, but not accelerate out of them the same but my dad has 2 grand worth of tires on his camaro, i have about 1k on
  10. i picked up some cheap motomaster fuel injector cleaner and i noticed a difference on the drive home from canadian tire
  11. i just bought a new legacy, so far ive just changed the oil and got some injector cleaner i bought some spark plugs but havnt got to change them yet anyway sometimes its really bad other times it works fine, at around 2300-2800 rpms the car just loses guts and has no pull, giving it some gas does nothing, then at around 3300 it just picks up and goes full power, also if i downshift to cruise i can feel the power fall when this happens. the car also had way to high oil level when i got it, and a cam seal is gone, but i cant get that fixed for a few weeks... my friends father manages a suby dealer, and he will replace whatever cam seals are gone and the timing belt for free labour because he likes to work on subarus
  12. a guy at school whos father manages a subraru dealer told me to get one, itll reduce MPG a little but give around 20 hp. i can get one for around $100 does anyone know much about this or how much it will help?
  13. dont compare aturbo car to a non turbo car, you think youd be having this discussion of the mustang had a turbo on it and mustangs are junk, for american car's go camaro's, 327rwhp/350fptq ls1 camaros do faster 1/4 mie times then an impreza WRX STi, with an all motor old pushrod engine
  14. im wondering what air filter to get for my legacy, for a beefier sound. i hear and know from other cars the Ractives are really good, the cone ones. i can modify the intake to take one, but are there any flat filters that will give the same sound?
