  1. I'll keep you posted as I keep my fingers crossed....... Ive been looking for a few years now (half heartedly when I keep getting unreal prices quoted) Im wondering what other outlets there might be for finding such an elusive part! Ebay???? Lost the two on mine after I failed to pay attention to how tight tap them in ....( after just replacing new CV joints) Ive had some pricey fixes on this car......but I sure do appreciate it when its running good!!!
  2. I need the centers that fit a '92 - '93 Legacy LS aluminum rims~ The boneyards want to sell the centers and rims together. Subaru wants $60 per center. Kinda rippy deal.... any ideas out there? Thanks!!!
  3. Hi~ Wife of mechanic here.... trying to solve why after the installation of a new (used) tranny..on our 92 legacy LS....the speedometer will no longer work? We've tried using a drill to see if the cable has life to it, and it doesnt.... we've tried making sure that all parts have solid connections and they do.... is this a typical thing to happen and or what other ideas does anyone have? ( Getting a new speedo cable or the whole enchilada is our last resort) Thanks~ ~wife of shelbyguy~
  4. Hi Cougar~ thanks for the idea of the drill to power the cable..... and we just tried it and it didnt give any indications of life when he tried it ( both directions) so I guess its time to look at getting a new cable or other approach! Jeesh, youd think after just going through installing another tranny we'd get a break here!!! Thanks again~ < going to try locating this to the newer suby area as advised~ ~wife of Shelbyguy~
  5. thanks northguy.... he's been rechecking all connections and tightening everything.....still no luck. Its odd that the speedometer worked fine before installing this different one.... Thanks for the quick reply, and I hope you have a heated garage up there in Alaska!!! ~wife of shelbyguy~
  6. Hello out there in Suby land... we're new to this suby site and I have a question for my husband (he's covered in car gook so I wont let him at the keyboard!) He just installed a used transmission in our '92 Legacy LS wagon, the installation went along ok, but now the speedometer wont work. Would the speedometer in the new ( used) transmission be the culprit? Or would there be something else we need to be looking at? Thanks for any clues you all might have~
