  1. We may work something out but there were two people intersted in the whole car. Will get back to you if things fall through. My sons may help if i part it out.
  2. Not the ported lines, check for any lines that go under the manifold where the rubber hoses connect to metal. Sometimes you can hear the leak.
  3. on my brat I found the metal tubes that the rubber vacuums lines coonnect to had rusted through under the manifold. Fixed that and all was well. It had the same symptoms
  4. Check your vacuum hoses, leaks result in high idle and cutting out if you try to lower it
  5. Have 1986 Brat. 142,000mi The good. Engine runs good, all drive train in good shape. Body Fair, bed good, has jump seats all roll bar. Interior still with out stock not buitchered console, have two with radio spot enlarged. Tires nearly new on wagon wheels with trim rings. Gas tank replaced 4 years ago. all glass good along with T tops. The bad, recently discovered the plague on the driver's side bed rail that supports the suspension. Noticed it when an exhaust leak appeared. I don't have time and back issues keep me from doing much work on it. I have an extra motor 105,000 extra bed trim a fender and misc other parts. Not parting out at this point. Junk yard will give me 400 but would rather see someone either repair or use to save another. Match it and its yours. I'm in MD. just above Baltimore. Send me e-mail in message and I will include pics.
  6. Thanks, appreciate the info on the fender. As far as the post, I was thinking in Brat terms new generation/old generation. I'm on track now. Looking forward to using the site more as I get my Brat together.
  7. Hello, need some info. I recently aquired an 85 Brat with low mileage and and I'm doing some restoration. It had the RH fender crunched so I'm looking. I would like to know if 82 fender will fit an 85. They look the same to me but I've been told they won't, but I don't think they're a reliable source. Any feedback?
