Okay so I got the old axle out and back in without any major problems, but here is where the trouble starts. When I got it back in and put together I fired the old gal up for a test run and made it about 2 feet, 3 max. I thought possibly that I did not get the new axle completely over the stub and it may have just slipped off. I took a closer look and it actually sheared the spring pin. I put the old pin back in since that was all I had and this time I made it out of the drive way before it broke, so I am getting closer. Soon I hope to make it all the way around the block. My question is would a 25 spline axle actually go on a 23 spline stub ( or the other way around ), I am thinking I have the wrong axle but I guess I won't know for sure until I get it back off and do some counting. Other than that the pictures submitted on this site concerning axle replacement were the best help I could have possibly found, Thanks.
