[Oil leak over spark plug?]

Is this anything to worry about?

Dealers.... BAH! I looked at a '98 about two years ago. Price on the window, test drive, yadda yadda. I ask for a break on the price. He sits me at his desk and goes to "talk to the manager." To pass the time I read the newspaper on his desk, including the ad THIS dealership is running.

 

Get this: The car I just drove was "on sale" in this ad for $3000 less than the sticker on the window. He comes back in ten minutes; "The best we can do is knock $1100 off the price." I show him the ad. Then left.

 

Grrrr.

[Just a fun story about my 98 Legacy 2.5 GT]

I didn't sign an as-is.. but it wasnt under warranty. Subaru is just cool to give me a new block.. Plus we have a "Lemon" law in Arizona about that kind of thing. I can't even imagine why it threw a rod except maybe it had been sitting on their lot too long? (It's a 4spd Auto ) I've had it up to 135 since.. give or take a few mph because the speed-o only shows 120.

When I bought my '99 two years ago, the salesman was saying things like "we would fix anything small for you, but nothing big... like a clutch." I take delivery. I get 3 miles up the road. Engine is revving, but I'm not going anywhere. Clutch dies. Yes, they put in a new one (claim to) and I never see a work order. Could they have put in a used one? A cheap one? Probably. Never going THERE again.....

 

Since then, she's been nothing but charming. Love my 'Ru!

[Oil leak over spark plug?]

I have a '99 Legacy with 75K miles on a 2.2 liter engine. Changing the spark plugs today, the front-passenger plug wire was covered in oil. What could have caused this?
