  1. Hi all, Anybody ever try the G-Box Stage 1 power chip override thing? It looks and sounds like it could add a few ponies to my 2003 Legacy LE, and at $40 how bad could it be?! But would prefer to hear an affirmative yeah or nay from someone. -Stuart
  2. Hi all, Thanks for the response. First of all...it is not a wagon. As God as my witness I am not a parent nor will I look like one driving around town. HAHA Anyway I only ask about the reprograming the computer because I read somewhere that they can change, as someone mentioned, the timing, fuel flow, air flow meters and shift points. It seems I am alone, however, in my quest to hop up my Legacy. Oh well, I guess I'll wait until the wife is done with it, retire it to my possesion and then have fun with turbo chargers. I knew I should have waited for the new Legacy Turbo... HAHAH Thanks everyone, Stuart
  3. HEy all thanks for the great feed back. I posted my ?? re: the 2003 legacy to the newbie gen forum too. As for the FS...I think I'll do that tomorrow. I think it is really cool but I am an inherent car guy and if someone could get some use out of it...other then a shelf. HAHA ANyway I really don't know what to ask for it. Any ideas what it's worth? If anyone on the list gets Autoweek magazine, last week there was an article in the back about the BRat. The brush guard on the Brat in the pic is the one I've got. -Stuart
  4. HI all, A new member here so I'm posting in all different forums. HA Anyway my wife and I just bought a 2003 LEgeacy LE with the crappy automatic. We really like the car but is a bit slow. I am trying to get a few more ponies out of her and someone suggested a K&N filter. IS there a real gain here ir is it all in the head of the K&N purchaser? Also, does anyone know of a co. that will reprogram the computer? And does it help? I want more power but don't want to loose mpg. Stuart
  5. Hi all, I'm new to the USMB so forgive me if this is out of line, but I recenlty came across a 1977-1979 Subie wagon in the woods near my home. It was pretty well trashed but the brush guard was nearly perfect with the exception of some surface rust. I took it off and was going to turn it in to a shelf in my garage but, well, it is too damn heavy. And besides someone mentioned it might have some value. If anyone is interested email me and we can talk. Also I am the proud new owner of a 2003 Legacy LE that my wife and I love, but it is a bit slow. I'm looking into adding a K&N filter and maybe reprogram the computer if I can find someone that does it. Any thoughts? Stuart
