  1. This vehicle has an automatic transmission. I have a little delay when I am about to take off after the vehicle has been sitting awhile. After I start going after it has been sitting awhile the tranny seems to be fine. It acts like it is low on tranny fluid when it has been sitting. But If I let it sit there for about 30 sec in drive. then try to take of it seems to be fine. Any ideas what this might be. I am going to cange the filter and and fluid then see what happens. But like I said after I get giong after it has been sitting awhile the tranny works fine.
  2. Great thanks. I think when i said my AWD. wasn't working I was going crazy. Everything is working fine now. Thank you.
  3. so them two connectors should be plugged in or not? They are unplugged now and it seems to run fine. Idle is perfect and everything seems to be working fine. And no cel. light. Any other ideas?
  4. My wheels did the same thing. It would never become a safety issue as long as its just the paint that is bubbling, which is probably is. You can get them sand blasted with the plastic sand so it doesn't reck your alloy wheels. The you ca do the painting yourself if you wanted. Just make sure you use primer first. And go to your local auto store and they will give you the best paint to use. I just used the paint in a spray can, used for rims and it worked awsome. Looked just like new.
  5. when the awd was not working I was not getting any hook up in gravel or wet pavement. When I was spinning my back tires were not. Normally I would not spin like this on gravel. I would keep spinning as long as I had it on the gas. When AWD is working I would just hook up and go. What is that black connector for? AWD is fine as long as I dont unplugg this connector. But when connector is plugged in I have a check engine light.
  6. No cant find the fuse. But the AWD works fine after I plugged the connector back in, Its just the check engine light is still on. But no codes.
  7. Well I un hooked the black connectors too get rid of the cel, like what was mentioned to do a few threads up. Everything was good when i unplugged the black connector, untill I had realized that my awd was not working with it unplugged. (Any other ideas) or why this happened? Thanks.
  8. Well I think my mind might have been playing tricks on me again. It seems to do that ever since I have owned this car. lol. But I would still like to know what symptoms there would be with a blown turbo?
  9. I Was driving down the street and noticed a noise, it almost sounded like my foot slipped off the pedal but couldn't really notice. So I thought it might have been my turbo. It feels like im lacknig a bit of power but not much. You cn still here the turbo spooling up and everything looks good externally. But I just wanted to know if my car would loose a considerable amount of power with out the turbo.
  10. Yes balljoints was the problem. The rubber boot was ripped on the ball joint and there was no grease. Ball joint had play and control arm was slapping around as well cause the nut was not tight.
  11. Great thanks guys unplugged both of them conectors and engine light is off. ( Awsome) I dont know why the mechanics I took it too couldn't figure that out. Both of the connectors were plugged in. Bot now I unplugged them and light is out. Thanks again.
  12. I found the green plugs and they aren't plugged in. UI dont know about the black ones. Im not to sure which ones you are talking about. Just want to be sure before I start unplugging stuff. Not very confident with the wiring stuff. lol
  13. ya struts was no problem. tokk about 10 mins to take it out look at it and put it back in. replaced the ball joints and put my swaybar links back in. noise is gone car runs good, Thanks for your help.
  14. so if I just uplugg it nothing serious will happen. cause the green connector is plugged in on my car, but I didn't know anything about it so I just left it alone.
  15. well i went to the shop tonight and took out my struts and noticed everything was good. so i replaced my ball joints and put my sway bar links in and everything is perfect. all of this took me only two hours, everything whent perfect, no noises no clunking and everything is fixed. Im so happy, I thought I was in to deep trouble with this noise. thanks for all your guy's help:)
  16. well there is one side plugged in and the other side has a place for a connector but nothing is there. I wish i had a didgital cam to take a pic to show you.
  17. hha sounds good. I ahve to un hook the brake lines cause it goes through the strut and clips on.
  18. What does taking the pressure off the strut do? And I also read something about marking the strut but I didn't notice anyother way the strut could go in. And I dont have to take off my mounts right? So do I take off the bottom two bolts first then the top one in the middle of the strut mount.? Oh and also they say the top bolt is used for camber adjusrment. I still dont undertand how you adjust camber with that. The holes were just big enough on the strut housing for the bolt to go through. No other way it seemed like that I could have put the bolt in. Thanks for your help guys.
  19. I have done this before but cant remeber which to unbolt first. The top of the strut mount or the bottom that connects to the spindle housing, I can remeber by unbolting one or the other first it is easiest. The one way which I think is when I un bolted the spindle housing bolts first with out ripping imade it complicating to keep the strut from ripping the cv. boot. But not sure. Step by step for the easiest way to do this job would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  20. well the steering is easy, and also I think I ruled out the sway bar because the links are gone. but maybe I should just take the swaybar completly out then see what happens, Im just waiting on a phone call for a parts car. Then its a matter of replacing stuff. If I had a nother driver driving and me standing outside the car I could probably figure out where the noise is coming from.
