I'm mechanically incompetent for the most part but like to figure this stuff out. How exactly do you use a water-cooled engine to power an air-cooled machine? Do you have to modify it to fit a radiator in there? If so, where do you place the radiator? I know these are base-level questions, but I'm just not getting it and I've been reading the forum well past my bedtime:). Thanks for any help. Tim B.

Anyone care to share how this went? Find anything fun? Or are you still there pulling? I really wish I had had time to go. Tim -
Minneapolis Junkyard meet?

I really wanted to be there today. If it had been the north side of the Cities, I might have attempted. It's been a hellish week at work and I just have too much to do at home. Tim -
In March, I bid on and won an '86 Brat on eBay. It was 4 1/2 hours away, so I was gonna take a weekend and go get it. My friend down the road convinced me to let his brother pick it up and bring it up next time he visited, since his brother lived down there. He said he'd be up here to do some painting this summer. Long story a little less long- I finally have my Brat in my driveway!!! The body is rusty and ugly, which is the way I like my cars. Less worry that way. The only thing it looks like I need to do is to replace the light assembly and hood because he hit a deer with it. I'm gonna put new tires on it too (thanks- you know who you are.) And of course, whatever deck I can afford will go in with an extra bass speaker behind the seats. I can't wait for winter now!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! Tim

I'd love to tag along if anyone puts something together. I never know which yard to go to and they are all so far away. Tim -
Were you serious about the payment plans? That would make it doable for me. Otherwise I am extremely gullible. Tim
-
I'm sorry- I should have been clearer. I didn't mean to imply that I was going to bid- they are WAY out of my pricerange. I just didn't know for sure if those kind of rims would work if the extra holes were drilled. Thanks for all the responses!! Tim
-
Do these wheels worked when drilled for 4 holes? They seem to fit the description, but they don't look like the ones in the guide. I'm dumb enough to have to ask these questions. Tim

I hate to continue to show my ignorance, but are those Mazda RX7 shocks that you used? Or is the RX standing for something else? Is there any particular Honda springs you used? Tim I've already figured out one answer- the shocks are out of a Sub RX. I"m sorry I'm such an idiot. -
I just figured out ....

Thanks- that's what I wanted to know. Tim -
That my Brat has "H" style rims. It's an '86 and those are from '85, but that's not a big deal to me. Are these unusual? Or are they fairly common place? Tim
