  6. The 2012 MudCoast Road Rally is a free exclusive event for members of Road Rally Charities. It is a road rally designed to utilize as many B level maintenance and gravel roads in rural Iowa as possible. Conditions may be wet, cold and muddy and everyone should dress accordingly. Vehicles should be equipped to handle adverse road conditions including mud, snow, ice, gravel, cow pies, etc. Level B maintenance roads can be dangerous and drivers should at all times drive within their vehicles limits and their own abilities. B Level and gravel road conditions vary greatly and some vehicles may find some roads impassable. Be ready for an awesome event with a big ol country party at the end! Including the exclusive MudCoast Mud hole, and a bonfire! We will have a grill set up so bring 10 bucks for food! and of course BYOB. Lets kick this rally season off right! please come prepared a few suggested items include: -tow straps -chains -winch -beverages -snacks -all terrain tires/mud tires
  7. mmm baja lift. I have an 06 and up until this point no one could offer anything to raise it any more. the biggest limitation for us is the front to rear wheel well opening. i dont think the height is much of an issue unless you do some serious cutting.
  8. Thanks! im just trying to find an alternitive to doing a hybrid SOHC with DOHC heads or what some of the others have done and adapt the DOHC wiring harness to the SOHC intake manifold.
  9. hey guys! i recently purchased a 98 Forester. the catch is that it has a blow motor (yup head gasket) anyways i happen to have a spare 00 SOHC laying around and i want to swap this motor over. i realize from searching there are a few problems doing this. my question is this. what if you swap the manifold and everything from the heads up? yes i know it wont bolt up. but what if you made a .5" adapter plate? that would bolt on to the SOHC heads then adapt the DOHC manifold? This would solve 90% of the problems correct? all you are left with at this point is the crank/cam sensors then one could just splice the wiring and you are done! any comments/thoughts on this?
