  1. Well my car has been throwing P0301, the coils wires and plugs are all good. When I took my car in for an oil change(free) they said they think it must be the fuel injector. I have ran seafoam to see if that helps but the code has came back. So i dont really know what it is rite now. It might be the fuel injector it might not. The car does start to shake when idelling. The rpms hover around 550-600rpm once warm. I am starting to think it might possiably be a breathing problem. The CEL almost always comes on while stoped, coming to a stop or leaving from a stop. Thanks for any help you could give me.
  2. Thanks, Could you supply me with some futher information on how to check the Idle Air Control valve and the power supply for the computer?
  3. How hard is it to replace a fuel injector on a 1997 2.5 outback? I need to replace cyl #1 injector. I have haynes repair manual for 90-99. Do you think I would be ok?
  4. Update: The CEL went off. Should I just keep it in the back of my mind or still look into getting it "fixed".
  5. my parents had this service done this past summer at a subaru dealership, so i would hope so.
  6. Ok so I have a CEL on my car rite now. Its a 1997 2.5 dohc outback w/ 215580+ miles on it. The Code reads out as P0301. I just had a "tune up" done. So the sparkplugs should be ok. I am thinking it might be the wires, coils or fuel injectors. Also to note about a year and half ago I i had a CEL come on and was told it was because of a bad cat. They turned it off no problems till now. I am going to get my oil changed at Van Bortel in 2 weeks (its only $17 I though why not) Should i have them look at it? Ok now you tell me what you would do.
  7. Sconnyite, I have a Outback Wagon from 1997. It also blow a gasket. We fixed it for about 1,500. Now that sounds like alot. But the car is still running on 100,000 miles later with no probs. If you look at it that way its not realy that bad. I think you have some anger problems. You cant drive a car without something braking in it. The B9 is fine looking, and the price is rite from base to fullyloaded. over 170,000 miles and only one problem. Not that bad.
  8. I wish that I could get myself one of thouse babys. First post WooT!
