Pulling apart torsion bar?

Featured Replies

Any trick to this? I can't get the splines apart. Taken the swing arm bolts out, and the 12mm hex pin. But no amount of bashing is freeing it.

No, just wanting to jack it up some more as after all the jumps and mud the thing sags a bit. Ended up welding some more onto the end of the adjuster bolt as I had no luck getting those splines apart (way too much rust probably). I stuck about 15mm of some random bolt on the end of the adjuster and gained a little more then 50mm extra height. It was at the point where fully adjusted up sat as the usual fully adjusted down position. Poor cars taking a beating from all these jumps.

And yer telling us about your jumps with no PICS?!
