when do we see some pics/video of it drifting? It can be done on asphalt, wet pavement, or gravel.

engine is in!

new clutch in behind that as well, and bearing, sitting behind that lightened flywheel, which i can't wait to see how it reasponds! the stainless steel dual port manifolds should be on tomorrow or monday with the webers ontop!

plenty left to do still, redo the water lines, new alternator belt, inlet manifolds on, weld on the stainless system, put some new throttle cables in, oil pressure guage to hook up, setup the carbs, test it all etc!

this was with the standard engine in, just a K&N, cherry bomb, RWD and adjusted fuel mixture, loads of other bits and bobs like wheels and lowered etc, but no others engine wise, so eay to kick out in the wet!

so are you going to run twin spark? Or are those holes just going to be plugged?

i have the twin spark dizzie, but it uses electronic advance, and the gains from it, because of the plug location arnt really justifyable

here are the carbs on the new custom inlet manifolds, made from aluminium

Whoa dude, that is a freakin sweet setup! Get some vids up in the daytime!:D

i've never seen a twin carb setup like this on a subie, great build! keep up the good work.

well, heres the stainless steel flange plates for the exhaust, 8 in total, and 4 spark plug blank offs for the (atm) redundent plugs

I was thinking of upgrading my stk seats and steering wheel.

I saw your pics - is Sparco the way to go - how much work to replace the seats and s. wheel?

Gains another 200 RPM lol. Was talking to a guy about the sub4 twin spark heads years ago for aircraft. Thats what he told me what would happen when you switched the 2nd lot of spark plugs on.

Why stop at just the rear end?

Lets me honest, torsion rear suspensions are ancient.

Just as easy you could fab up a 4 link to a solid axle, or even do a subframe swap out of a s13/14/r32.

Backinbrat, this could be the best answer if U good at fab/welding. with the flat bed blank piece of paper box section new rails cross pieces to pick up new pick up points subframe.....thinking along these lines as Ive got a bit of rot near torsion bar mounting.

As my plans are similar....RWD drift plaything thats able to carry sheets of plasterboard etc..........My thoughts are.

gearbox...Imprez/legacy Theese must be able to fit easer than finding alternative?. found a link (must find again) from USMB to another site, guide 2 welding center diff in imp/leg gearbox for RWD.

Rear end Impreza/ leg, s13/s14 or go solid. PPC magazine put volvo rear axle in mk2 escort cheep as chips handles loads of power Avalible in open (Welded please) locker or lsd......BMW 3 series? cheep as chips.

At the moment I plan to, as mine standard output, weld rear diff (yes eventially it might break transfer shaft in box) but 10min and front shafts from behind seats are back in, limp back home in fwd......by then will have decided best way forward. U got front spoiler thought out yet???

hmm, yes, a 4 link setup would be quite doable i reakon, but i would like to keep independent, the subaru way, if only the LSD's were more avalible over here!

ive got some thoughts, and will faff with it when the engine is done, but loads of ideas flying around

long of the short, where are you from again, we need to meet up and discuss drifting issues! haha!

personal favourite sparco, i like the style and quality, not that much work to be honest, i got a hub kit for aftermarket steering wheels in a reduced section in a car acccesories shop, was meant for a honda civic, i cut the spline off the old steering wheel, welded it on, and on it all went, horn is on a seperate button, and the seats, i bolted 2 pieces of box section on the front to back of the seats, then going the otherway, welded on with holes to mount the standard runners onto, and they sit bang on where you want them, not too high or low!
