Land Anchor / Winch Anchor

Featured Replies

Have searched around, but not found a whole lot.

What do you guys use for Land anchors? And I am mostly interested in the No cost / Low cost ones.

Thanks.

You could proly fab one of these up for very little if you have a good trustworthy welder.

Ya I have seen that Before, a Fixed, non folding unit could be built fairly easy.

Does a long steel steak beat into the ground work at all?

Does a long steel steak beat into the ground work at all?it could, but the anchor itself needs to have some type of cleats to bite into the dirt harder when you are pulling on it.............

the type you buy , like in the link above, are designed to get more bite,by digging deeper as you pull.this due to the angle of the spade in relation to the ground and direction of pull.so , i imagine alot of ************ will work, just keep the basic design features in mind when you are building it.

Wow that looks like a simple setup. Looks like it would work good though.
