removing a turbo manifold, what am i missing?

Featured Replies

i dont get it, i've been able to pull them out of other cars but i cant seem to do it on mine.

the cars in the junkyard, i undo the 2 motor mounts on the underside and i undo thepitch stop for good measure and i can uaully lift or pry the engine over enough to get the manifold out.

my car i undo the 2 motor mounts on the under side and the pitch stop and it doesent budge!

this is frusterating, i have a repaired manifold i would like to try so my turbo would acually spin!

nope all the bolts on the underside of the manifold are out and the 4 are off on the base of the turbo, heatsheilds are off.

this is kinda pissing me off because when i cant get it have to put it all back again because its my main car untill my injector o-rings get here.

problem is when i have the heat on it sucks alot of exhaust into the cab.

the manifold isnt the problem, the engine doesent move at all for it to give me any room to get the manifold out. its like its still bolted down to the motor mounts when its not.

with all the bolts out, with a jack of a crane i lift the engine, the car still comes with it.
