Just recently put an ea81 motor and 4sp gearbox from a 84 model 1800 wagon into a 90 model brumby. Motor and gearbox work fine, but I can't seem to find the gearbox oil top-up.

 

I had a look underneath around the exhaust mount and the gear shift. I haven't looked on the top of the gearbox yet because the car is still on the hoist.

 

Where abouts is the top-up for the gear oil?

You fill it through the dip-stick hole so it's on the top where you can't see it. It will be on the driver's side (for you AUS folk), just to the left of the pitching stopper.

Just under 4 quarts typically.
