I can put any window down, from any window switch with no key in the ignition in my 97 OBW. It didn't come from the factory this way I have to assume. Did it? What the heck would make it do that and is it necessarily a bad thing?

Someone could have rewired it so the windows work when key is removed. Other thought is you may have a bad relay or something....

Does anything else work with the key off?

 

Wipers? Turn sigs? Radio?

ONly the power windows work with the key out:confused:

could this happen if the relay goes bad?

I suppose if the relay is shorted out inside it could happen.
