Quick exhaust manifold gasket question

Featured Replies

Are exhaust manifold (& turbo) metal gaskets used "dry" or is there some kind of sealant to put on them for an EA82T?

always dry.

subaru ones are far higher quality than aftermarkets.

they are one of the easiest gaskets to reuse too (if the gasket is in good shape obviously) they hold up very well if they weren't leaking prior.

Dry it is! I thought so but wanted to be sure. The leaky front exhaust pipe has been replaced, I can drive with the windows rolled up again without CO poisoning

Carquest part # F12284

Superior Exhaust gasket for EA82's. I've had the same set on my car for 6 years now without any leaks. system has been removed several times and reused the same gaskets
