In search of WRX advise?

Featured Replies

So, I currently own a 86 XT and have a steady job now (thank god) and am going to the bank tomorrow to hopefully be approved on a loan for a new car.

here's my question. I am looking for a 02' 03' WRX and was wondering what are somethings i should look for. I would really hate to be paying monthly for a broke down WRX. I work at tire kingdom and am use to doing a 22 point inspection so i am looking for specifics. things that will either gimme big headaches or leave me stranded. thanks so much guys.

It certainly is NOT the STi, that is the tranny to have. 02's are the ones most susceptible to breaking. But most of it depends on how it was drove.

You won't want to go back. I played with EA81s for a few years before getting my 2.5RS.
