Hello! does anyone know a part number for the short throw (STi) shifter kit for a 97 impreza outback?

 

I have the sti short throw kit for my turbo legacy wagon, but i know i needed an adapter for it to hook up right. does anyone know if this is the same case? or do i just order one for a 2.5rs or ...something

Shouldn't need the adaptor. All the 5 speed's after '94 use the larger adaptor for the shift rod.

 

The 2.5RS kit should work I would think.

I have an extra sti short shift lever for your car if you want it. $30 shipped. The linkage isn't any different, just the lever.
