Pictures say it all, whatever it is, it's broken on mine, and wondering if I should replace it?

seems to be a switch. if i were to guess. it seems like the sensor that tells the indication what mode you are in.

I don't think its the 4WD indicator switch, because when I switch from FWD to 4WD, the lights still work for 4WD on the dash.

When you go into low range, does the "LO" light indicator light on the dash?

 

Its either the 4WD light switch, or the Low range indicator switch.

It's smashed into pieces, I have no idea it could have gotten that way.

 

It must be the Lo indicator light, as I don't have one of those. Thanks everyone.
