Wondering if I can use the T-belt and t-belt idlers (other than the tensioner and it's pulley, which I know are different) on a later model EJ22 (2001 Model) ?

 

And what about the water pump?

If the trigger pattern is different, then I'd probably say no to the t-belt stuff.

No I don't think it will work.

 

Early phase 1 EJ22 it would.

 

But 2001 is Phase II, and uses different, taller heads......different length between Cam and Crank.

I found both an old Ej18 t-belt, and a Phase II t-belt, and the Phase II is longer... just as an addition to this thread.
