Gday guys, just wondering in a US spec 1987-on XT, where abouts is the Temp sensor for the Digital Dash? I beleive it is somewhere in the inner guard, but as to which side, I have no idea?

'88 XT6 it was in the PS fender cavity, above the washer fluid tank. It's Black, about 1/2" in diameter, and about 2-1/2" long. Has 2 Light Blue wires coming out of it.

 

Not real sure if you could get to it by just removing the plastic inner shield, may have to remove fender. Been almost 2 years since I parted the XT6, memory is foggy at best on that.

I think on my 86 Vortex it was fitted up front. in the center part, just below where the hood latch is? Mind you its been a few years since I looked at a turbo Vortex.
