dumb questioin 97 legacy

Featured Replies

my 97 will not start 2.2 a/t 176,000mi ran fine before, are all coil pack the same dimond , are all crank sensors the same , i used spare parts, the car stumbles and almost starts

She's gotta have fuel, spark, and air. Check to make sure you have spark out of the coils(screwdriver test), make sure she is getting fuel(FP test) or just take off the fuel line and make sure some fuel comes out a bit when you turn the key.

Make sure it's all the way in park since it's an at.

All I got for now. Did you change the motor?

is this the one we did the swap on?

How about the oxygen sensors?

I put a 95 ypipe with 2 cats on my 92 legacy which had one cat. the o2 os not connected, and the cart has trouble starting when cold

yours will have 2 o2 sensors. the front one is the most sensitive

Ran fine before what? Did you do some work to it?

After cranking for 15 seconds or so can you smell raw fuel in the tail pipe?

no it;s not the one we did a swap on, [ white wagon] it will not start , changed coil pack and it ran great and started right up , now no start , changed coil pack again, maf , changed plugs/ wires oem, crank sensor, good battery, full tank of gas,

You should have the CEL if its a failed sensor or component. Have you pulled the codes?

so are you not getting spark at all? could you have popped a fuse?

check all fuses and relays, chaunged coil pack, but will check again

still no start, checked fuses, relays, new fuel filter, plugs / wires, oem, different crank sensor, getting fuel , but seems no spark , changed coil pack , any more suggestions
