92 wagon brake upgrades?

Featured Replies

what kind of upgrading is there out there. would wrx calipers and stuff fit. whats a good cheap brake upgrade?

95-99 Legacy Outbacks have a 2 pot front caliper and larger rotor thatg will bolt right on.

I recommend this to anyone going to larger than stock tires on lifted Legacies, or anyone who wants a bit better brakes. You must run 15" or larger rims after this conversion.

There are even more options, like WRX stuff.....but that is very expensive compared to a very big upgrade that can be had cheap from the Outbacks.

WRX front brakes bolt right on but you need 16inch wheels or larger. what ive done is buy new rotors ($20 each) buy just the WRX brackets at subaru for about $60 and use the outback dual piston calipers. you can also change out the rears with the MY00+ outbacks for a larger rotor or go with turbo legacy vented rears.

This is a '92 _______ Wagon. Legacy? Loyale? Turbo? crucial information. The responses above are only true if it's a legacy, and the outback suggestion would be the same as turbo legacy hardware.

also, keep in mind....larger front brakes means larger wheels.
