bgambino
my neices car. I want to replace shifter knob...how does it come off?
subaru360
It just unscrews. If it has the leather optional momo knob, unscrew the collar at the bottom and there's an allen head set screw under that.
2.5_IMP
Automatic or manual? In case you are buying an aftermarket knob, manual is M12x1.25, automatic is M10x1.25.

subaru360
If it's the standard knob, the leather shift boot just pops over a lip on the bottom of the shift knob. Slide it down off the knob and unscrew the knob.
