pcv valve on 1993 legacy wagon

Just replaced this on my car. And I was wondering if somebody could tell me how much you should tighten it? I noticed it got quite difficult to keep tightening and there was still exposed threads. So I just stopped there and left it snug. Thanks.

Yes..Snug is good. Maybe just a pinch more. Exposed threads is normal as it's a pipe thread affair. Don't overtighten. You could crack the manifold.

+1, I wouldn't tighten it any more. Should work just fine with snug tightening.

My car hesitates a little bit sometimes. I have not removed the vacuum tube yet to see if it was dirty or not. On my car it is also tightened with a wireholder.

Could the PCV valve reduce hesitation?
