'90 Loyale Coolant Leak (photo)

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

One thing after another with this car it seems!!

I've started to notice coolant on the garage floor and also the car running hotter, which I'm guessing is from loosing lots of fluid while driving.

Here's a shot of where it is coming from underneath the car near the front. Not sure which part this is.

Any help!?

Thanks!

Hmmmmm... so tell us... how long has it been since you did your timing belts? Noticed the fresh looking drip of oil mixed in... possibly front seals, cam/crank seal? No rush... seen um poor oil out till changed.

Yea, one thing after another but when they get to be 20 years old they like to have some attention... I call it "bonding time".

I knew exactly what the problem was by just looking at the picture. Since you're going to be in there replacing the water pump and gasket. Go ahead and do the timing belts and tensioners too.

And make sure to check the hose that is right above the water pump :) I've had a few of them leak and look like the water pump. Just make sure it's not ready to fall apart while you are in there, lol.

Thanks guys! Looks like everyone agrees on water pump. I'm just curious though..in the picture from the E-bay auction that part looks much different to me. These are the same though? I just don't see visually how they are.
