Temperature gauge question

Is it at all possible to adjust the temp gauge on a 1997 Legacy Outback ? It has recently been brought to my attention that mine is wrong , showing the incorrect reading on the gauge , but I don't know how to adjust it , or even if it can be adjusted . Any insight on this ?

How did you come to this?? The guage on the dash is showing wrong why do you think this?

 

You can try replacing the sensor btw.
