jeff618
You don't have to go to the dealer or mess around with refill inserts on the new-style rear wipers on many of the 2004+ Subarus. The "Trico Exact Fit Rear Integral Blades" snap right onto the special rear arm and they look like the factory original. They come with removal and replacement instructions - easy install. When I bought and changed that wiper, I also upgraded the front wipers to the Trico NeoForm Beam Blades which are the new frameless style of blade. They work and look awesome!! Got everything online. Hope this saves others some time and headaches!!

Fairtax4me
Have been using Neoforms for a few years. I put a set on my Lincoln and they lasted about two and a half years up until about halfway through this winter. The huge accumulations of snow and ice we got this year did them in. I spent probably 3 times what a regular cheapo blade costs, but for as well as they work and as long as they lasted, I just had to replace them with a second set. They'll be on the Subaru in a few weeks. The cheapos I put on it back when I bought it are getting pretty bad. They made it 6 months, so I guess they've done pretty good. Allpar Mod
So, basically, the Neoform is Trico's answer to the Rain-X Latitude. I've used the Latitude with significant satisfaction. There's a set on the Soob now. I've used Trico blades over the years a lot and will have to try these next time. By the by, Pep Boys sells their own brand of this style of blade now. Save your money. Junk.
jeff618
By the way...on the issue of the special rear wiper, I found a page with wiper blade installation videos - pretty handy. Subaru uses the xx-B/Roc Lock 3 rear attachment but this page has videos for the 13 most common wiper blade arm attachments. Also, found out my favorite wipers are on rebate now thru 12/15/10. $15 back on top-of-the-line bringing them down below $9 a piece!
