I recently had to work on the power door locks on my 94 Loyale. Below each door latch mechanism is a door lock motor with a 4 wire harness, just as described in my manual. However, each latch mechanism contains a 3 wire harness. The power door locks work regardless of weather or not this 3 wire harness is plugged in.

 

Does anyone know what this 3 wire harness is for? It goes directly into the latch mechanism (not the lock motor) and I can't find a description in my manual or on my schematics.

Nope, the annoying door lock indicator is controled by the 4 wire harness in the door lock motors.
