so ive been told that the gl's have a way to crank the rear end up. but i can not find anything like this, does me year not have this its an 88 gl 1.8

Only the '85's and '86's had adjustable rear coil-over tubes. EA81's (80 to 84) had a torsion bar system that was adjustable. They dropped the adjustable suspension concept after '86 unless you bought the air suspension package.

 

If you get a set of rear strut's from an earlier 4WD model they should have the adjustment collar.
