mwills Posted April 27, 2010 Share Posted April 27, 2010 so my right rear seatbelt won't release. its drawn tight. no slack. stupid thing. i checked with my favorite upholstery place and they suggested the scrap yard and they'd install it. checked my favorite local yards and came up empty. looks like i'm headed for the dealer...which is fine...but does anyone have any suggestions?? i'm thinking i'm having someone install a new assembly. any thoughts? thanks for any help. Fairtax4me Posted April 27, 2010 Share Posted April 27, 2010 Might just be the lock is jammed. Try pulling the belt up towards the reel, and see if the lock releases. bheinen74 Posted April 28, 2010 Share Posted April 28, 2010 remove seat bottom 2 bolts. pull up cushion remove bolt going into the latch portion of the belt, the part with the red button to release.
