New to this forum.

 

I have 2.2 Lagacy motor out a 92. that i have put into a vanagon. It ran great for 6000 miles. Now it starts and run put it in drive and no power. put is a new fuel filter. Did not help 3 filter in the last 1000.00 miles. it revs great in park just cant put a load on it. any thoughts. Thanks for your help.

I did the swap. I just not good at trouble shooting. I can do a Saab all day long for some reason i can't do the Subaru motor.

check your air filter, spark plugs, and plug wires.

Can you test your fuel pressure? I was having a similar problem in an ER27 and it ended up being the fuel pick-up in the tank was clogged up with rusty bits... It would rev GREAT in neutral but any time I tried to drive it, it would dog out real bad.

X2 on fuel pressure test.

A friend had the same problem. In his case, problem was the plug wires.
