No matter what we do with the light control stalk the tail lights will not shut off. Any ideas? Possibly a bad ground? Did the control stalk fail? Am I just a moron?

 

This is my wife's subaru and I am trying to sell it so I need to fix this. Thank you for your help.

Is the little switch on the top of the steering column 'on'?

if dave is right, you are not a moron, just a virgin.!!!!!!!

 

check the virgin switch on top of the steering column. if you can see red or orange, rock it the other direction until you can't.

 

 

then let us know what the problem is.
