July 23, 201015 yr First, you'd search... then, you'd install an equal length header then cams. No other way.
July 23, 201015 yr Delta cams has, or had a sale on camshaft regrinds.....they post on here when they have specials. pretty impressive gains with regrind on cam spot on Qman
July 23, 201015 yr No over-bore with dome top pistons option guys? There are only two ways to get torque without going force fed. 1. better airflow (intake, cam, header/exhaust mods) 2. more displacement (bore over to fit bigger pistons, and/or different crankshaft for a longer stroke) You can guess which one is easier.
July 23, 201015 yr Author This rly dosent apply to this post but ill put it here so I dont post another...anyway I just did my oil change and I think I have a rod knock...its fant but im also over sedualed mantence of timeing my valves at 100,000 I'm at 106,xxx any ideas?
July 23, 201015 yr Definitely out of topic. Curiously, I have an EJ22 and had a "tap" at warmup. I wouldn't call it a "rod knock" Might be hydraulic lifters on this because something would change with heat. Was all set up to get into it but changed oil to Valvoline Max-Life. The oil had changed to a semi-synthetic (it was good before with my 280k mi truck). For some reason it freed up that lifter. Purolator Pure One filter didn't hurt when they were on sale together with the oil. No leaks.
July 24, 201015 yr If its an Ej22 it's probably a lifter. Unless for some reason you ran it with no oil. X2 Valvoline Maxlife.
July 24, 201015 yr Author Yea its probably a lifter tap bc its faint and from what every one is saying...but I got stp oil stabilizer and haven't put it in yet...think it will help? Oh and thanks for the help and not assuming I suck at driving...and again off topic but anyone who remembers my shift linkage problems it just fixed itself...not questioning it but still plan on haveing it done
