My 86 DL has a noise could be passenger side frontend. sounds like saing shesheshe lots of times in a row. Only when accelerating and speeds up with car speed. let off the gas no noise at all.

I have replaced both front wheel bearings, both transmission taperd diff bearings, while in the trans checked all other bearings and checked all set points for diff and pinion, new pads and passenger side axle. Had the frontend alinged. All trans mounts and motor mounts in great shape.

 

Any ideas on how to figure out what it is?

check the rear bearings and drums, sound can be deceiving.

Also take a look between the front backing plate and the rotor to make sure the backing plate isn't bent and rubbing the rotor or have some debris stuck in there.

make sure your castle nut is torqued enough.....and check the wedge washer for damage as these things could be preventing your bearings from being tight.
