head gasket pt 2/dash light freakyness

Featured Replies

For some reason,my ride height light (yes and it still works wonderfully)comes on when i shut the key switch off.Im starting to think this car is haunted or something, cause now im not sure i have a blown head gasket(previous post)but I do have 1 dying hole(60 psi).

Now heres a theory. It seems like higher intake pressures gas up my cooling pressures (under boost) and vice versa at idle.Does coolant run anywhere in the intake manifold,or am I just reading too much into this and just have a good old fashioned bad head gasket.oh yeah, leak down tests were inconclusive at best.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Less than an hour for a bump?.. relax.. some of us are in different time zones..(some of us actually sleep too) :D

For a partial answer to your question, there are quite few places where coolant goes through the intake manifold. However, the combination of coolant bubbles and one cylinder at 60 psi, I would stick with the blown headgasket theory.. possibly adding the cracked head theory to the list because of the fact that your car probably has Gen 1 heads
