2002 OBW A/T shifter bulb?

Featured Replies

I don't know the part #, but if it's a normal style bulb, you can likely get it at the autoparts store. If it's the smaller bulbs, you can get some at radio shack that are similar.

First thing I'd suggest is to get access to the bulb so you can see about matching it.

I do have the bulb out, it is not a standard size in either an auto parts store or radio shack, that's why I was hoping someone knew the number, same as some of the instrument cluster bulbs.

Think it might be a # 74 bulb?

According to this link http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/80-electrical-electronics/15385-my-prndl-supposed-light-up.html the AT shifter doesn't have a light as the position is on the instrument cluster.

Here is a thread from a Forester, but it may not be the same as your vehicle http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f85/shifter-light-fix-726/ says # 37 bulb.

Here is another one that may be closer to yours http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f85/replacing-sg-shift-light-4eat-pictures-28595/

Yes, it definitely has a bulb....the console and dash display of the shift position is redundant in the 02 OBW. The 37 doesn't fit, it's too big, just like the guy in the one link found out ( his solution was to just push (force) it in harder) and the other guy never gave a bulb number.

got a picture of it ???? i have a lot of led bulbs i might have one for you
