October 17, 201015 yr I test-fitted the rear driveshaft in my GL wagon with an EJ 5MT, and it engages but not by much. Maybe about 3/4". I can see some of the shaft in between the dust shield and trans tail. Do I need more engagement than this?
October 17, 201015 yr I would imagine you'll want more engagement than that. Is this an EA or EJ 2 piece driveshaft? Maybe the "other" one would work? what is the difference in length of the EJ 5 speed and the EA 5 speed?
October 18, 201015 yr what is the difference in length of the EJ 5 speed and the EA 5 speed? about 2" no, if the dust shield doesn't even reach the back of the trans....it's not enough.
