November 15, 201015 yr Man, that's one sweet wagon. Makes me miss driving my EA82... Old-school is so FTW.
November 16, 201015 yr Author if someone needs help with some part of this swap let me know. ive received plenty of help maybe i can return it to some else i have the cometic headgasket # thanks justin
November 16, 201015 yr Looks like you've got your accesories vacuum hooked to the ported vacuum rather than full intake vacuum. The line for the vac canister and Cruise should be hooked to the port on the top of the #3 intake runner, rather than throttle body vacuum.
November 16, 201015 yr Are the fuel and tank vent lines hooked up correctly? Doesn't look right for some reason.
November 17, 201015 yr Author im going to put in the vac pump from the xt6 donor and hook that hvac,cc,and diff lock hopefully. didnt realize i could hook that hvac to that vac hose on the throttle,it seems to work fine. the fuel lines should be right my delivery hose is just a little long.
November 17, 201015 yr Author if the vac pump wont do it i grabbed a outlet off another intake so i can ad another vac either on #3 side or next to the one for the brake booster
November 17, 201015 yr the fuel lines should be right my delivery hose is just a little long. Only reason I mention is because on my car, the supply is the top line, and the tank vent is down on the frame rail, below the hill holder. Doesn't look like your lines are routed that way, is all.
November 17, 201015 yr Author mine was carbed before and it runs well so im pretty sure its right if u unhook it from the fuel rail and turn on the key fuel shoots out
November 19, 201015 yr Author thanks alot much more fun to drive especially all the xt6 goodies under it
November 20, 201015 yr Looks nice! What's the little diaphragm thing attached to the number 1 intake runner? Oil pressure sensor?
November 20, 201015 yr Author yes i took the idiot sensor out made a hydraulic hose and adapted the ea sensor so my gauge will work.its simple and cheap to do, i think the hose cost 12 bucks.
November 21, 201015 yr thanks alot much more fun to drive especially all the xt6 goodies under it I totally agree, I noticed a HUGE difference after xt6-ing my loyale... The thing is on rails! My complaint now is that it only looks fast.....
November 21, 201015 yr Looks like you've got your accesories vacuum hooked to the ported vacuum rather than full intake vacuum. The line for the vac canister and Cruise should be hooked to the port on the top of the #3 intake runner, rather than throttle body vacuum. Yeah, looked again. You definately have the accesories vacuum hooked to the Evap solenoid port. When the Evap solenoid opens you have a vacuum leak since you don't have a canister connected. Additionally, you're vent is capped so your tank has no vent. You should get an EJ canister and mount it in there, and route the accessories vacuum direct to intake vacuum. Details, but things that you should fix.
November 22, 201015 yr Author it had fuel coming out though, so i capped it. ive heard vw guys cap it.my lifted rig did this also i have a canister but it filled and leaked also not sure but would like to get it right
