November 22, 201015 yr Author Can anyone tell me the stroke measurement that the Hi Lo arm travels? I know the Arm pulls back and fourth as the operator pulls the Hi Lo lever up and down. I dont have a d/r local and need that travel 1st pull (4x4 Hi) measures "?" 2nd pull (4x4 Lo) measures "?" Measuring origin is "?" (the point the travel is being measured from) Or if someone local has a d/r sittin around or in their wagon and would let me take some quick measurements id greatly appreciate it

November 22, 201015 yr It's not much at the rod itself. Each notch is about a centimeter of travel of the rod. The rotation at the hi/lo arm, driven by the rod, above the front diff is only a few degrees. * note* If the hi/lo arm is allowed to rotate too far while unhooked or adjusting you can loose the alignment keys for the shift collar inside, so don't do that. You can rotate it "back" and it will stop against a case bolt, but don't rotate it too far forward.
November 22, 201015 yr Well sure, come on by! I just had the thing apart today too. I dont think its much, if any, over an inch mind you, full range. It might be closer to a half per engagement. I got to pull it again too, but not tomorrow. I need a set of new grommets in my linkages as to find reverse again but I tightened it to work and I might not make it to pap tomorrow.
November 22, 201015 yr Author Perfect! (would you happen to know a 99-2000 foresters spline count (hubs) ) correct me if im wrong ( i dont know rx's at all ) but arnt their transmissions d/r? is it Hi Lo AWD?
