November 22, 201015 yr Im interested in putting the SPFI pistons in a EA81 for a hi compression one. I have all B sized pistons in my engine currently. How and where are the SPFI pistons marked?

November 25, 201015 yr IIRC, on the face of the piston there will be either an A or a B stamped on it, with a diamond outline.

But i guess the EA82 pistons are not marked the same. They have an arrow pointing towards the front of the motor, the word up at the top of the piston and a R (maybe for the right side). This is just the info i was given from the seller. Im not sure what to make of it cause i was told previously that they should be marked A or B as well.
November 25, 201015 yr The 2 EA82 short blocks I have here both have a B and UP on the pistons. One block is a carb model, other is SPFI.

November 30, 201015 yr Author If they are A sized pistons would they have been stamped or did they only stamp B size pistons? Reason i ask is the pistons i want are not stamped on the right side.
